WIP figures GF-Models
Hello,
Here is a WIP to show some work in progress about the figure that I created.
First the the GF-20-048 about the early 80’s driver; I’ll do Nelson Piquet 1983 1/20.
As usual I spayed a first layer of mat white, for the helmet, I’ve done a second layer of gloss white.
I applied some old decal from a BT50 Tamiya to the helmet, and finally it was easier than I thought first.
The decals for the helmet are from bt50 Tamiya box
I started this one long time ago, I finally find to the Wim shop, then…
The ‘Romerouelle’ decal does not have a curve shape, then is a bit difficult to apply.
I created as well some figure for a Monaco crash diorama, after the grey layer, I will spray the marshalls in orange.
Cheers
Franck

Two of my favorite drivers, how I wouldn't like your figures?

Great work, Franck!
I am a fan of your figures, and your painting skills are on the same level!
Did you had a special incident in Monaco in mind, when you created this three figures?

Re: WIP figures GF-Models
Hello,
Many thanks for your comments.
I miss this one:
I start to paint the marshals
I add to my catalogue one doctor and a modern driver as well to complete a small figure diorama.
I did some progress to my Francois Cevert figure.
Here are 2 same figures with 2 different helmets, Nakajima 1991 and Prost 1993
Graham Hill at Brands Hatch 1968 if I’m right, I really like this picture, it’s why I wanted to create this figure.
I was happy to see that Wim (Bestbalsakits) have this 84 suit and helmet decals among his products to allow me create this figure.
Since sometime I wasn’t very happy with my James Hunt interpretation, then I decided to do a full new James, first the face, then the suit and the shoes as well.
Cheers
Franck
