I saw that, don’t know what to make of it. Don’t understand the point either, Tamiya has done this with some of their airplane kits, usually ones that came in natural metal finish but I did not get this. Maybe people in the home market want it.

Was just about to post the same. It only makes sense with the 1/10 and 1/32 scale versions. I’m super excited for it and hope people who want more Le Mans kits buy it up quick!

Figured that would happen sooner or later. Not a fan at all of the current Lemans prototypes.

Not a big fan of particular team, but very happy if it's true and we will finally have another LeMans winner in plastic.
Hopefully Tamiya had access to engine detail and this new kit will be as stunning as TS020. Also, if market reacts well,
may be we will see more LeMans cars in plastic in the future made by other maker or even Tamiya themselves.
919 and R18 would be fantastic.

At last!!! I was afraid that the current hybrid generation of LMPs would never have a plastic kit version. I've seen this machines up close and they're incredible. Sorry that the Audis and Porsches didn't receive the same attention by Tamiya or Revell.

Great news if this happens. I consider the K3 better looking than the K2, and it should be popular having won Le Mans in 1979, and also raced by a number of other teams.

Dino, thanks for the info!

I always wondered why Revell did not follow up R10 they release in plastic. Would have made sense to me to do R15 and R18 versions, as they obviously have Audi licence.

Not related - what's up with all the 1/24 F1 re-releases from Hasegawa recently ? What are they up to ?
And they even released new RC91 kit. I would welcome a return of Hasegawa to active production of new
kits, but I am not sure I like their current direction.
