The XJR14 did actually go to Le Mans with Jaguar in 1991 and I believe it turned practice laps, can't remember if they attempted to qualify, before it was withdrawn in favour of the V12 engined car. It was always the plan to race the V12 but Tom Walkinshaw wanted to try to get pole using the XJR14.
I did a bit of research on this matter before building the s27 kit and if I remember correctly they did actually qualify the car second. Of course they knew the 14 would never make it through 24 hours anyway so they had decided it would be withdrawn unless they were on pole with that car.

Any Can-Ams, especially the Chaparrals and McLarens.
A 1967 McLaren M7 would be cool, too!!
