I always thought that car was metallic bronze colored, but your model definitely looks correct. Can I ask what paint did you use for it?

Tamiya metallic brown and Mr. Hobby fluorescent green. Almost went with Tamiya copper but the metallic brown has a much finer metallic flake and they are pretty much the same in terms of actual color.

A few recent builds:

Both of these I opted to use my masking templates in place of decals - for the orange on the GT40 and the yellow and white stripes on the 956:

Are the Dunlop tires your decals? I have brake ducts, overflow tank and Kenwood decals en route for use on a Tamiya Rothmans kit.

Aha! Found them. Order sent.

That color looks really close to the Ford factory color Prairie Bronze that was on the real car.

With all of Indycals new sportscar decals, I would highly recommend buying these books, I have a few myself and they are great reference material for model building.

In addition to the decals I am also producing headlight bays in 1/20 to facilitate the headlight conversion necessary to get this car right - should be available for purchase next week after I test fit them.
