2020 F1 Aero
Well, i like a bit of aero and complicated bits, but that is just ridiculous.
I'm kinda looking forward to next year...

Assuming it was better for aero to have that part than the two pieces combined.R.Wells wrote:WTH is that Handle on the Ferrari for??? LOL

Re: 2020 F1 Aero
Step one, vastly complex aero deflectors. Step two vastly expensive on track debris.

Re: 2020 F1 Aero
I'm thinking it was to simplify the shadow plane rule. If they connected those two pieces with a winglet it may have had to have a slit in it to allow light to pass through. Look at the larger boomerangs, it's particularly noticeable on the Renault and the Red bull, those thin black lines on the larger elements are actually slots that correspond with the slots on the main lower floor, Ferrari may have wanted that small vertical piece but had no way of holding it and satisfying the shadow plane without that weird handle.R.Wells wrote:WTH is that Handle on the Ferrari for??? Can’t wait to see what Studio 27’s white metal reproductions of these look like... but seriously, this aero drive is ruining the appearance of the cars, not felt any ‘phwoar’ for any of this years grid without exception

Re: 2020 F1 Aero
May the the handle is for a fast change of the whole aero part during pit stop if it got damaged. It will just like Audi changing the whole rear end years ago at Le Mans.

And active suspension was a bridge too far back in the day. Was it too expensive? Went from 30-40 mil to win a championship to 400-500 mil. What a waste of money for such a predictable finish. Hate to say it, but the Formula E race from Mexico wasn’t bad.
