Wow! hat a bad shock :(
Yes, really a great contribution. If some usually mentined made F1 as we nw it, then there;s people like Charlie that were there too, probably even mre significant.

It will be extraordinarily difficult to replace him, he was so even-tempered and fair in his decisions. I loved when he wagged a finger at a driver (Alonso?) who jump started. Whiting seemed a good man from everything I saw an read. Good luck to his successor.
