The McLaren looks pretty good! The Alfa Romeo (formerly Sauber) livery is likely a testing only livery like Red Bull but I imagine it will be mostly red and white like last year. Also, the front wing elements on the Alfa are bizarrely short. I can't think of any other car in the history of F1 where the front wing elements did not connect to the endplates.

My thoughts exactly, I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't a Renault.

LOVE this red bull livery, hope they keep it.
They won't. It's a one off testing livery like they've done before.

Is it me or there's a strange robot raccoon's face on Alfa and McLaren's noses? :D

I like the... aggressive deflectors just behind the front wheels on the MCL34. It reminds me a bit of the arrow-shape of the BT52...

Who would have told a few years ago that F1 modellers some day would be using a lot of matt paint? That Ferrari will look in the grid like one of those big cargo ship's lifeboats.

When its super cold the teams prefer to use inters. Since they are a much softer compound they don't run into issues on the slow speeds they run. They do the same when journalists and other amateurs run the cars since the drys won't provide enough grip at low temps.

That makes sense. I also read that the teams sometimes use dry weather compounds for the shakedown/filming day although they're older spec compounds from previous seasons.
