F1 TV is a go!
Wow, I wasn't expecting that F1 TV would have more than one package level. In addition to the all access that I assume is available on a annual or per month basis, there is also a lower access level that is only $3 per month. The flipside is that you must wait 2 days after the race is finished to watch that race (on the following Tuesday...)
So which option will people choose?
As of this time, UK people can not select the Pro package....
As for me, I will try out the $3 package, the price is too low to ignore

Well, gimme the chance to watch it at any time (to avoid family trouble when it collides with home schedule) and payable by Paypal and I am in!

Does this mean that F1 would no longer be available on network television, or is it for an enhanced viewing experience?

It will still be on network tv, it is just sublimenting coverage. With many places moving to cable, and many people (like me) moving away from paid tv, this is the easiest way they have to get F1 coverage to more people.biercemountain wrote:Does this mean that F1 would no longer be available on network television, or is it for an enhanced viewing experience?

I subscribed to the full package and its a little buggy...but thats to be expected. I think it will improve and hopefully get an Xbox app so I don't have to share a screen while I work.

Re: F1 TV is a go!
I did the full pay 1 year at 89.99. My current TV situation is sketchy at best when it comes to F1. If I don't watch it as it happens, then my chances of seeing it later are slim.

Re: F1 TV is a go!
Dont waste your money for live coverage on f1 tv.
Stream is broken often: black screen or buffering or your a minutes back of live coverage...
No HD!
Switching between the driver cameras does need minutes...
And this is the experience of 2 free practices today - guess qualify and race will have the same result.
I have now glue why F1 does not use a fully working streaming provider.
Also, in germany you can watch the television progra, live and in hd bia internet without problems....

This is the reason why NBC wasn’t interested in a new F1 contract for USA broadcast.

Re: F1 TV is a go!
I signed up this morning and it was an epic failure. The TV stream did not work at all for FP2, though the onboards did. I will try watching the qual/race replays this weekend, but if that doesn't work then I guess it's back to torrents for me.

This is all temporary. There were obviously issues but its not always going to be this way. It was in HD, and streaming it after it completed worked pretty much fine.scaleautofactory wrote:Dont waste your money for live coverage on f1 tv.

If you're unwilling to deal with some hiccups, wait until after this weekend to sign up.

Is there an app that allows access from Smart TV?
