The Dell computer group, is it? Seems like a good partnership.
Re: McLaren finally has new sponsor.
Nevertheless, it's not what they call "title sponsor", right?
I mean it's one of their "technical partner" deal, yeah? I mean we won't see Mac's sidepods full of DELL...
On the other hand, was not DELL already a McLaren sponsor before? around late nineties? or someone else's? someone remembers?
Ed: OK, I'll answer myself: they were with BMW/Sauber and then Caterham less than ten years ago...

Re: McLaren finally has new sponsor.
I think you thought of Computer Associates which were a McLaren sponsor. Zak brown was brought in to get new sponsors and its working. A title sponsor is going to take a bit more work from them on the track.

Yes, that's it!stubeck wrote:I think you thought of Computer Associates which were a McLaren sponsor. Zak brown was brought in to get new sponsors and its working. A title sponsor is going to take a bit more work from them on the track.
Yes, Zak is doing a good job. Anyway I am a bit with all that "title" concept. They might simply accept that you may get a 18-18-18-15% + small sponsors split in the budget like Williams did in mid eighties.
