Re: F189 Decals
Hi BigF1fan, Indycals does quality decals, and he offers a sheet for that kit: http://www.indycals.net/decals/f1/89ferrarif189.html But note that he does not include markings of a certain tobacco brand that starts with "M" on ANY of his decals, probably for similar reason many aftermarket ...

Re: Wired wheels lacing technique question
There is a very good tutorial written by Jurgen Kowalski of Germany on the Model Cars Magazine Forum : http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/77554-making-real-wire-wheels-in-all-scales/ It would probably be a good idea to save that article in some fashion, being sure to get the larger photos by c...

Re: Pete Lyons Lotus 72 Book (1970-1975)
I have Oliver's "Lotus 49: The Story of a Legend" book which is terrific, but missed getting his book on the 72. In fact, that's why I jumped on getting Lyon's book on the 72. No way was I going to spend years kicking myself later for missing this one! Steve, if all you are looking f...

Re: Porsche 936, Tamiya, 1/24
Another beautiful build, Marco! I always admire your work, and the excellent photography shows them so well. If you do decide to build that kit again, Indycals has decals available for both the #4 and #6 cars ( http://www.indycals.net/decals/canam/78martiniporsche.html ), and also for the Jules spon...

Re: Pete Lyons Lotus 72 Book (1970-1975)
I received my copy last week, ordered through Amazon, and I agree with MikeM's comments. This book is very much a "history of" book, loaded with great color and black & white photos, but not a lot of detail photos. The Lotus 72 is one of my all-time favorite F1 cars, and Pete Lyons is ...

Re: Wax pencils
Interesting find, thanks for posting it. But it might be better to go with the Ultimate Modelling Products photo-etch placer , that is specifically sold for use by modelers. It is available from a number of world-wide sources. Just google that entire name as I did to find out more information and so...

Re: humour in decals...
On the decal sheet of the Monogram kit of the 1981 IMSA Miller Mustang , the small "Good Year" below the little "bill scott racing" decal that goes in the center of the rear panel between the brake lights, actually reads "Good R ear" on the kit decals! Indycals of...

Just can't thank you and Calvin enough for the terrific work you guys have been doing lately. As soon as I get my rear in gear, I'll be sending orders both of your ways.

Re: Cyano Glue
I don't understand what you mean. In my mind, if I squeeze the sides of the bottle, the volume decreases so the CA will go up, filling the spoud. I mean, something what we do to get some toothpaste from the tube I know it seems counter-intuitive, I will try to explain more clearly. You are correct ...

Re: Cyano Glue
Thank you so much Flashman! It sounds as if you dont bother with Accelerator fluid. (I am not sure what the point of it is as CA glue cures pretty quickly anyway.) Cheers, Hugo PS Have you read any of the Flashman books?! Very funny and strangely informative if you like History. Actually, I pretty ...
