Re: Removing paint from a resin kit

I would try brakefluid. Used it multiple time on plastic and resin. No problems. On resin abolutley nothing happened but when I let a plasticbody in it over night the plastic got a little rough. But usually no need to let it soak so long. I reas somewhere that DOT4 is the best , so this is what I us...

Re: SilverLine EJ13

Top Job :) ! I wouldn't wanna be heard as a Rivet-counter but have the Tyres been switched from left to right? Seems B-stone arrows are pointing backwards. ‘Modeller’s eyes’!!! Great spot. No idea how i did that…. 🤷‍♂️ Will fix. Thanks for feedback guys. I would guess there are all the same decasl ...

Re: Chrome removal Meng GT40

I removed the chrome on the Trumpeter kit and that was a nightmare also. I used brake fluid and the chrome was actually pretty easy to remove but there is some kind of "primer" under the chrome that is very thick, hides the detail and was hard to remove. I had to pull it of in patches by h...

Re: Tamiya 1/12 FW14B with full Top Studio set

These parts look so amazing...can't wait to see how all this comes together. I would jump at it but I've learned my lessons in the last 20 years about time, stashsize and built kits....so it's a no no at the moment ;)

I fear there are a lot of people ouit there that are happy to build the kit with minor to no painting and still end up with an OK looking model.

Re: 1/8 Lotus 72 Pocher...

There are a lot of pictures out there, especially Facebook. Not for me. I personally don't get the half built kits, OK some people struggle with gloss painting so it's ok but I guess I stick with the Entex kit. Don't see an advantage for me getting the Pocher kit.
