Re: 1/12 MFH March - what could it be

Resin cylinder heads...maybe buy an engine kit with the metal cylinders and modify it using the turbo part? Sell the 1:1 cars to make it happen.

Re: Mclaren mp4/4 - 1/8 Deagostini

Yeah, I agree with you guys. My first foray back into modeling was their MP4-23. Ok, my bad as it was curbside and I wanted a full detail kit, large scale (old eyes, hands not that steady anymore). It’s beautiful, no question, but certainly not as fulfilling as the MFH 1/12 th scale kits, which I th...

Re: MFH Porsche 917 Le Mans Winner 1971 in 1:12 Scale

Uli, thanks for the link to Miko. I’m “of a certain age” and not on Facebook. In fact, I think my kids would kill me if they ever found out I had an account. It’s bad enough, they think, that I know what Instagram is. In any case, I’m all over the 917 parts. My stash has a 917K in it and, happ...

This is an upcoming kit for me. Is there an English MWT site? Love those parts!

Re: What do you do for a living when your not building?

I’m new to the group, just got back into this hobby after spending 40 years on Wall Street. Glad to be retired, so I divide up my time between enjoying the desert Southwestern US and trying to “sneak” some space for the projects. Currently, the assembly floor is the kitchen counter, while the garage...

Re: Disassembly

Further to this, the base frame has been reassembled using solder. And I also acquired a magnetic tumbler. What a difference! Even tho I’m in the US, I use Hiroboy for mostly everything. Some of the parts disassembled a bit more than desired...they broke. So is it best to try to recover broken parts...

Re: Disassembly

MoFo, thank you. I’ve got some leftover WM pieces that have been earmarked for the trials. Low temp solder (150c) in a couple of varieties plus liquid tix flux and some others are on hand to experiment with.

Re: Model Paint Safety Information

This is incredibly useful. Thanks. I’ve been aware, but not completely. Question for you guys. I went out an bought a paint booth. I live in a “retirement” house and have limited space for working on my projects. The paint booth is in the garage with no way to extract the exhaust thru a window. But ...

Disassembly

Hi all. I’m a newbie and made the choice for my initial project of the 1/12 MFH Ferrari 330 P4 Berlinetta. Yeah, I know. So once you guys stop laughing I could use some advice. It actually came together pretty well, until that pesky fitmemt of the center section over the roll bar. I did dry fit but ...
