Thanks again for your support and tips guys! Decal trouble is not over yet however. I regard the silvering as a minor problem, the creases on the doors as the major one. Solved the silvering as good as I can by following your tips, and eventually hand painting blue over the bigger transparant areas....

@CK & Guido: what kind of glue would you use for that? Tamiya Extra Thin, or is that too aggressive?
