Yes, I saw the ones at Indycals. The rings are gold, but the Firestone letters look white, unless I'm mistaken?

1/24 Gold Firestone decals..

Hi guys. Anyone know a source for 1/24 Firestone decals in gold colour? It's for a Fujimi Ferrari 330P4. For some reason my kit doesn't seem to include them. I'd also probably be able to use a paint template, but everywhere I've looked is sold out (Acu-Stion brand) Thanks in advance :D

Re: Disintegrating decals

Use a punch and die set to "cut" the gauge faces out. As for them disintegrating, it sounds like they're old decals? But as already stated a coat of the Microscale liquid decal film will stop that happening..

Re: MFH Guide to Applying Decals

Never had to put decals in boiling water? Sounds like an excuse for poor quality decals. Why they don't just get a decal maker such as Cartograf to make the decals on their behalf is beyond me? Surely the high price of the kits warrants that?

Re: TAMIYA 12056 just announced...

Tamiya as the manufacturer of choice for F1, rally and others has been dead for years. Sure, I liked the times when they used to churn out the new kits at a fantastic pace and they were lovely kits, no doubt. But they don't do that anymore. Plenty of new rally stuff from Belkits, Beemax/Aoshima etc,...

Re: Thick paint seams

You won't really be able to totally eradicate any masking step. I've used micro-mesh before to knock the step down and then a few layers of clear to level everything up afterwards.

Re: Complete : Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI WRC, Tamiya 1/24

I built this kit a long time ago and converted it to Rally Finland. I remember it fought me all the way and I was glad to finish it. You made a lovely job of yours, be proud, it's not the easiest kit to build, Tamiya quality, but quite tricky to paint and assemble well..
