Re: Lancia Stratos Turbo, Tamiya, 1/24
Hi Marco,
Nice to see your great model of this classic car!
It is a very basic model from the old times. However, you have built it so beautiful. The paint and decal job are top notch.
Thanks!

Re: Tyrrell 019 scale 1:20 conversion
Hi Ian, I just bought a Modeler's Tyrrell 019 yesterday. 019-plan.gif This is a scan of the drawing. I scale it to 1/20. Set margin to 0.5 in on all sides when printing on 8.5"x11" paper. The print out will be at 1/20. Send me a PM if you want a bigger drawing. Somehow, the drawing is shru...

Re: Soldering PE to white metal
Hi Gert, Soldering to steel is not that easy in general. There are special solder for steel. However, the normal solder for electronic purpose should also work. First, sand the steel surface and than add solder flux on the surface. Heat up the steel surface using the solder iron first. Put solder on...

Re: Jordan Yamaha 192 (Hasegawa) 1:24
A very nicely done Jordan 192. I like the foam over the intakes, a nice touch. I have a couple of these Hasegawa F1 kits. I would say their quality is on par with Tamiya, just in a different scale. The only draw back is the suspension arms are easy to break. A lot of care is required. I already brok...

Re: Who,s going to make the f1 cars for the 2014 season
Selling model kits is still a business. This means that good products always sell better. Take the Lotus 99T as an example, there are some really unnecessary defects in the kit. The mismatch of the seam line between the side wall and the top is just a really bad defect. Yes, it can be easily correct...

Re: Meng McLaren MP4/4 in 1/24th scale
I did not say the engines for Lotus 99T and MP4/4 are the same. I only said that they are "similar". They are all from the RA16 series engines. There are only minor external differences.
In fact, a Williams FW11/B is also a possibility.
