Re: Calsonic Blue Colour

Tamiya calls for TS44 Brilliant Blue. The Mr. Color Equivalent is Bright Blue (C65 in bottle, S65 in spray can). I think the automotive equivalent is Renault Bleu Saviem 423.

Re: All the same red?

That is an impressive looking lineup alright! And you can see the color change quite clearly. Also interesting is that the cars behind the F93 are in a "darker" red again, though not the same hue. When we last had this discussion a few years ago, I saved this as a "confirmed" li...

Re: Dumb question....

I'm wondering if 3D printing is not the future for 43rd scale F1 kits...... Those are kinda pricey but if someone in the US were doing them? E 1-Yes, most probably. Difficulty in casting small parts leads to 3DP 2- A bit but in line with HQ classical kits I´d say. But honestly production cost is lo...

Re: All the same red?

When i look at the zero list they mention, up until 2004 the ferraris had the same (non fluo) normal red. Doesnt make sense, i recently saw several next to each other in Köln Germany (schumacher private collection) 1996 f310 next to f399/f2000/2001/2 etc., f310 was normal red and the rest had all t...

Re: All the same red?

That's one thing that never made sense to me about the Zero Paints Ferrari colors. Never understood how they could say that Ferrari used the same red from the late 80s through the early 00s. Never saw the M@r!b*r* McLarens in person, but I have seen the M@r!b*r* Penske's in real life, and I remember...

Re: Meng vs. Italeri

I think the real comparison will be between Meng's MP4/4 and NuNu's MP4/4. Two kits of the same subject being released relatively close together. Hi PTR, The Italeri MP4/2C is a re-release of the Protar kit and was originally released around 1987, the overall shape of the kit is good, however the wh...

Re: FIA rules for 1991

This is fascinating, because I always saw a clear delineation between the 1989/90 cars, and their 91/92 equivalents. I always considered the 89/90 cars as a separate generation versus the 91/92 cars. Even though they're clearly not really that much bigger, they look larger.

Re: Searching for rain tyre references

I believe from 1985 to 1991, Goodyear used the same symmetric tread pattern on all their racing rain tires, the famous "Gatorback" tread pattern.
