That's interesting, do you think it's still possible to try this once the decals are settled?

I think they do some re-releases from time to time, I've seen decals and kits making 'frequent' comebacks

I think there are quite some possibilities to create the lenses. you could put a little drop of clear or resin on top of it and let it cure or stance out tiny circles out of transparent plastic.
