Re: Ferrari F2002 Revell 1/12

I never thought of Revell as an F1 kit maker. Always thought they were punching above their weight, so to speak. From reading your, and other peoples comments about the kit, it seems my thoughts were confirmed. However, the end result of all your work speaks for itself. Great job on a not so great k...

Built this one awhile ago. According to the date/time on the picture info, October, 2019! Jeez, time flies!

Anyway, Tamiya 1/20 312T3 with decals from Indycals.

Re: Tamiya 1/12 312T4 Resurrection

Have you used any product to disassemble the parts without damaging? I have some old kits I would like to restore but I'm afraid to break parts. Time ago I remember a member that used an ultrasonic machine to remove paint and parts became disassembled I used a product from Bob Smith Industries call...

Thanks! No. The only clear I used was a couple coats of matt clear on the 3D printed tires. Other than that, the rest of the model has no clear at all.

Loeki wrote: Fri Mar 22, 2024 5:26 am A really great effort on this iconic Ferrari, it looks super!

The silver on the front- and rearwing is very convincing. What kind of paint did you use?
Thank you, Loeki! Nothing special on the paint, just plain 'ol Tamiya Gloss Aluminum, TS-17, straight from the can.

JamesB wrote: Fri Mar 22, 2024 4:35 am Great, great job!!! It´s sooo nice to "resurrect" (yes the word is quite adequate) old models instead of just trashing them.
BTW, what red you used?
Thanks, James! It's Tamiya TS-49, straight from the can!

Tamiya 1/12 312T4 Resurrection

Got this for pretty cheap (free!) but, as you can see, it needed a bit of work. Sub-assemblies half painted, assembly errors and parts missing. https://i.postimg.cc/76RGDK7T/001.jpg The motor was a sad sight. Block not painted. 8 fuel lines installed for a 12 cylinder motor. Injectors installed wron...
