Re: Tamiya 1/24 Escort RS 94 Monte Carlo
Yeah the PE honestly adds not a whole lot once it is closed up in this scale. Made this kit way back in 95, so revisiting it to get back in the swing. Using PE as much as anything as I want to see what I can actually add, so far I built up the relay spaces on the dash last night and started preshade...

Tamiya 1/24 Escort RS 94 Monte Carlo
Starting a new WIP. Been out of the game for a while so something simpler to start back in. Soon as I resize the pictures I will load the first few, nothing big so far. Aligned the Rollcage, added the Fuel gauge, added PE to dash, drilled Spare Tyre center cap / lugnut holes out. sml_cos1.jpg sml_co...

Re: Adventures in soldering: The GT40 project 4/14/16 update
There are times I load this site and just ask myself, "why are these people not simply making the real cars?" This work would be amazing full sized, but in this scale it goes beyond mind blowing. Just wow. I don't have any other words.

Re: 1/12 Matra MS11
So I guess the next step is to make it actually hold fuel and water? Level of detail is superb, would it be easier to just make the real car though?

Love the work on the mechanicals here. Can't wait to see how things progress.

Not the typical fare
Ok, so this isn't quite a scale model... well in the typical sense anyway. Just wanted to share what I was working on for the next summer. http://i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q680/orcatkt/Mobile%20Uploads/WP_20151211_14_50_46_Pro_zps8stjrgkl.jpg http://i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q680/orcatkt/Mobil...

They did, set a 1:02 or something around the test track. Can't even begin to explain how much I want one after seeing it drive!! If only, ah well, at least I have my models

Re: An ending....
I will admit to preferring to watch Aussie V8's before almost any form of road racing, and WRC falls before that. With that out of the way, Formula 1 has never been related to the race on Sunday creed. All the way back to the 40's and earlier these were strictly racecars, not converted road-cars. So...

Re: Hasegawa F1 kits, any good?
Built the '76 312T2, was a nice kit. Few issues with fit and styrene but nothing major. All in all I would buy another, but I would go into it with the intention of using PE and aftermarket so I wouldn't be too stressed about little issues anyway. Just my 2cents.
