Re: New MFH Release 1:12

The wing looks like an earlier wide span and short chord design and is not really the 70s type which tended to be reduced width and longer chord. So I think this could be either an M7, Lotus 49 or Matra MS80.

Re: New MFH Release 1:12

SKY1911 wrote - Also why leave out the cam covers other than that would be a dead give-away for the car in question? If it is the default DFV cam cover, it could still be a number of cars, so it might be that showing that piece might give it all away. Sorry, didn't see how to get the quote in this r...

Re: New MFH Release 1:12

I think this is a really early DFV as the clutch cover moulding on the flywheel looks more like a road car type than the later multi-plate clutch assemblies which are taller but with a much reduced diameter. So probably a Lotus 49, but could also be a Matra MS80 or McLaren M7?

Re: Protar Alfa 179 Instructions photos anyone please?

Hi,
I put some pictures of an Alfa 179 on a gallery on this site that I saw at Goodwood a few years back. Hopefully they are still accessible.

Re: New MFH 1/12 kit for December

Ok, so possibly wishful thinking for the 012, but there would be great options for colour schemes, we have Benetton green for Alboreto, Tyrrell blue for several drivers, dark red for Brundle's Dallas car and of course black for Bellof's Monaco car. Many remember Senna catching Prost in the very wet ...

Re: Bandai MS 11 F1 kit

The Bandai kit has the earlier exhaust system of 3 pipes per side and no extended fuel tanks on the side of the chassis. This was when Matra hoped the V12 engine would be a little more fuel efficient than it really was! One advantage of the Bandai kit over the Tamiya one was the location of the batt...
