Re: MFH 250 ???
The spokes look awesome, but the resin frame. Not sold on that. Plus it's the wrong GTO. GTO'62 for me. I never liked the shape of the '64 - so I'm not endagered of buying it, unless they do the original one - saw and heard the Mason car a long time ago... love at first sight.

Re: Model Factory Hiro 1/12 Poll (wich 1/12 next? )
Mike, let's just put it this way, it's an opinion. I am a Senna fan. I was at the track the week after he died and was in Monaco when Frentzen had his major crash there that almost took him out of commission. So yes, I love him, but not necessarily all the cars he drove. The Williams does nothing fo...

Re: Model Factory Hiro 1/12 Poll (wich 1/12 next? )
I've voted for the P4 since I'm addicted to the 1967 season. Slightly biased there having been part of the GPL mod team to release the GT67 mod and having had the honour to do the various P4 skins. That aside I would love a full detail version of that car knowing that there are already 1 or 2 offeri...

Re: BMW M 1 Procar in 1/12 scale
Thank you for the feedback, Christian My plans are/were to do similar weight- or rather silicone ;) saving measures. I have seen some people brush the first few layers of silicone onto the body and then just keep adding to it until a certain thickness is reached. This requires a slow curing silicone...

Re: BMW M 1 Procar in 1/12 scale
Impressive piece and I'm really looking forward to your latest project. A mould like this takes quite a lot of silicone. A similar sized one I'm planning requires about 8 litres - and at 30€ / kg for RTV silicone, that's not really cheap ;). So I have two questions regarding this build: How much Sil...

Re: What is your latest model purchase
Well the 1/12 MFH Porsche 917LH (#3, of course) made it home. However, on unboxing the first issue was jumping at me. The right hand side B-pillar was missing. Apparently it broke off during transport. The "missing" part was jiggling around in that yet to be opened bag. I guess that's easi...

Re: Model Factory Hiro Wishlist and Poll
Well if 1/12, then definitely: Porsche 917 KH ('71) Porsche 917 LH ('71) Porsche 917/20 ('71) Porsche 917LH ('69) Ferrari 512M / S ('71) Ferrari 330P4 ('67) Ford GT40 MkIIb ('67) Ford GT40 MkIV ('67) Chaparral 2D ('67) Ferrari 250 GT SWB competizione 288 GTO / F40 would be nice, too. I'm in no way p...

Re: MFH 250 ???
I'm torn. On the one hand I like the insane detail and I've seen such a 250 engine with an open top for real in the Le Mans museum once and it was impressive. However, for a model, where it's place under the bonnet mostly invisible to the eye, it is unnecessary detail. I would rather have a nicely d...

Re: Restoring a ferrari 643 WRX (1:8 Rosso)
Awesome! I'll be watching this space as I have one that I have built when I was a teen, kinda sloppy and all, but it looks great regardless, the center piece of my Ferrari collection (next to a shoddy-fit 1/8 F40). Anyway, since one side was exposed to the sun for a number of years the decals have f...

Re: MFH 1/12th Porsche 917LM
Cheers, I wouldn't have believed them to skip it. I just heard one guy moan about having to create that frame part on his own - although not for the 1/12 kit. However, further research seems to show that they are also molded for 1/24 scale. Good stuff!!
