Re: Tameo 1:43 Ferrari 156/85

The spare decal sheets arrived today. Good job I bought two - first stripe, again, cracked, and didn’t really work out: https://thumbsnap.com/s/xUFrvCfr.jpg So the fourth attempt was OK. No idea what went wrong: https://thumbsnap.com/s/HKmxRyf4.jpg Fitted them without much issue: https://thumbsnap.c...

Re: Tameo 1:43 Ferrari 156/85

It seems to have worked OK, although the spacer plate needs thinning a bit. https://thumbsnap.com/s/qcunQ5YR.jpg I’m going to add some body fasteners using 0.4 mm Top Studio rivet heads. I’ve toned them down with a matt coat; they looked a bit bling at this scale: https://thumbsnap.com/s/7TgiSVzk.jp...

Front suspension pull-rods and wing inserts fitted, and the driver’s medical air pipe. There can’t be much more to do; things keep appearing out of the box that I’d forgotten about... https://thumbsnap.com/s/cMh8uFrW.jpg https://thumbsnap.com/s/ittp9ch6.jpg Vac-formed windscreen fitted with PVA. Re: Tameo 1:43 Ferrari 156/85

Thanks! :D It looks great but yes, digging too much at this scale is risky. Result is fantastic and you easily forget is small scale when looking, looks bigger. What thinner did you use? I've tried the yellow cap one and I like it. :D Just the normal X-20. I didn't know there was another type? Yep....

There was no practical way to save the part. I simply took a picture of the damaged part and the entire set and the good people ...

Re: Top Studio Spares Contact?

Thanks guys.

Emails sent, and the casting option is something I'd not thought of. I need to cast some wheels for a 1:43 Tyrrell P34 anyway.

Cheers.

Re: McLaren MP4/6 Tub – Some Useful Information?

Very interesting, a great read, Interestingly the tub isn't flat black, Who woulda thought!!! Thanks guys! I think there’s probably a scale effect to consider, but yes, the nose box is black - and usually looks black in photos. There is a distinct difference in colour between the nose box and tub, ...
