The 1/24 scale of the 908 has the same pitfall, I was hoping they'd addressed it on the 1/12.

I was thinking perhaps the year of the photo hints to the year of the car except a quick google search turns up a dozen of the same photo

It can be brand dependant but my experience has shown that CF decals have a certain level of transparency so a layer of paint underneath helps their coloration better.

When I was at MFH in March, I asked the head model builder about this. He said they do not use mold release on their resin. He said he cleans the resin parts with acetone. I tried it on the 917/20 I am building and it seems to work great. I wiped down all the large body parts. No problems with pain...

Tell you the truth, everyone told me bleach and so I tried it - it didn't seem to work as when I started priming, the primer was clearly not adhering to the surface. I am building the 1/24 908/3 kit.

Would love to hear other's feedback.

Oliver has been racing for Subaru in the USA this year, he's been blindingly quick in the WRX. If he gets into the WRC I think he will be taking a championship sooner than later. There's a documentary about him called 'Born to Drive' if you're interested.
