Is there any precedent for Tamiya ever upgrading one of their 1/12 F1 kits? I can't recall an example (apart from perhaps better decals) but I could be mistaken.

Re: MP4/2C: THE ALL PURPOSE Italeri 1/12 THREAD!

All I can say is thank you Italeri for reissuing this kit. This is the end of the moon prices in various online auction houses. While I echo your sentiments on how glad I am that Italieri is reissuing this kit, I'm really not expecting the Protar examples to come down in price much. The Protar kits...

Re: MP4/2C: THE ALL PURPOSE Italeri 1/12 THREAD!

I'm assuming this kit hasn't been released in the US judging by the eBay listings I've seen which are all from Europe. Are there plans to roll it out in the US at some point?

Re: MATRA MS 11 Tamiya 1/12 scale

I bought this kit when it was reissued back in the late 90's. Had it ever been reissued before?

I remember being so excited by it and the Lola T-70 Mk III being available again.

Re: Ferrari to Indy

It's a big risk to go up against Chevrolet and Honda and come up short. This isn't to say that Ferrari isn't capable of putting together a world class engine, i...

Nano Ceramic Coatings

I've been seeing more and more nano ceramic coatings on automotive shows and have begun wondering about their possible use on scale models. Has anybody experimented with them?

Thanks.

Racing Motorcycle Question

I recently got a bargain on a Tamiya 1/6 Honda CB750 racing bike which replicates the winning ride of Dick Mann in the 1970 Daytona 200. My question is regarding the correct color to paint the INSIDE of the front fairing. The box and online reference of replicas seems to show black. Additionally, wo...

Re: Ferrari 312 T2 1/12 "Tamprotar"

Please forgive me if the answer was obvious but why was it necessary to create this hybrid? I'm assuming it was to create a specific version of the car.
