Re: What is your latest model purchase

Been having a lot of fun and made a few nice purchases in the last few weeks:  A couple of cheap RS500s off eBay, one to be the kit "Texaco" scheme, the other to go into a RooDecal "Shell" scheme, a Fujimi Z4 GT3 to eventually go into the Marc VDS scheme (when I get my hands on a...

Re: ALFA ROMEO TZ 1

Very nice Alex and I have to say, it looks even more stunning in real life, though with it at the back of the table I had missed the Shell oil can!

Nice one

Re: DuBois Mustang GT350R 1967 LeMans

Hi Greg Studying the pics it looks to me that the car ran in the race with 2 driving lamps (in the grille), probably without covers in the race or at least after the first stint or two and without dive-planes - maybe a trial item during practice but dropped for the race? Is the jacking point that yo...

Re: DuBois Mustang GT350R 1967 LeMans

Found some more here - looks like the car had "dive-planes" fitted at some time in the race. Maybe at the beginning as it looks like one is damaged in one of these pics?

Re: Hasegawa Corolla WRC - Monte-Carlo 1998

Thanks for the kind comments guys - I have to say it seems to have photographed quite well! @daveyman - never lost the bug! Just been a bit of the pace lately so not been able to see a build through to the end so plenty started so should see a flurry of finishes coming through soon! @Alexpayne - yes...

Re: Chris Amon passed away

He just made it past the 50th anniversary of his Le Mans win and (hopefully) witnessed the Ford GTs repeat history this year. I have just finished reading AJ Baime's "Go like Hell" and all I can say is he came from an era of real heroes.

Sad, sad day.

Hasegawa Corolla WRC - Monte-Carlo 1998

Hello all - been away awhile, sorry for the absence Well, it's been about 3 yrs since I finished anything but finally here's one for you to look at. This is the Hasegawa 1/24 Toyota Corolla WRC, depicting it as run at the Monte Carlo rally in 1998. I chose to model the car as driven to victory by Ca...

Re: Nissan Delta Wing

Lovely job Alex and having seen both the real thing on our test track and your model up close I can vouch for the finish being pretty much there on the money. Nice job indeed! And it most certainly is a race car, very quick indeed through the corners - how? I also was completely gutted when it went ...
