I removed the chrome with chante clear, then tamiya primer, then TS13 to make it perfectly smooth and finally 2 coats of ts30, not covered by clear.

Good job ! I made this kit years ago using the S27 decals, I remember that the closing of the bodywork was not perfect once the engine, radiator etc was assembled and I had to make several adaptations to make it optimal. I advise you to do some tests before painting.

Usually I first give a light coat of clear over the small decals to be cut before putting them in water, in this way the decal is not damaged...

Yes, it's a 312 T2 Protar cockpit recovered from a scrap on ebay over a 312T Tamiya kit ! I think you can "easily" adapt the cockpit of the t2 1976 Protar to make the early version of the T2 1977 using the same technique... Often there are damaged or incomplete kits on ebay for little mone...

I have rebuilt parts of the bodywork in plasticard and then engraved the caps in an oblique position using those in the kit as a template.
