Re: Brabham BT50

Absolutely wonderful work on the BT50. I have the kit myself
but I always thought the version with no front wings looked
"not-quite-right" IMHO. Will be using some of your techniques
on mine. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Jordan 191

Couldn't agree more with the Photobucket angst, "high jacked" is too mild a phrase for what they've done. However, Mario Covalski at Modeler Site has this complete build for a modest price in very high quality. Check it out http://www.modelersite.com/en/2004/superdetailing-the-tamiya-j0rda...

Re: McLaren MP4/9 conversion from Tamiya MP4/8

Great conversion Hein. I also spotted the Jordan 192 in the background of one of your shots and I'd like to see your conversion of that car too.
Keep up the good work. BTW where did you order the day glow red paint again.

Superb work Ron. I have this kit and I hope to do it as much justice as you have.
Is there a WIP of this build to help us mere mortal modellers along?

Re: Removing chrome from plastic with oven cleaner

I've always used caustic soda for this purpose. It's fast and doesn't etch the plastic. Just rinse off when it has finished the job and voila!!! Some people may not have heard of this, it's a well-known drain clearer here
in Australia.

Re: Tamiya Ferrari SF70H

Your CF & paint work on the front wing is masterly. Works of
art and an abject lesson to all, not only in skill but patience.

Re: Tamiya Ferrari SF70H

Hey CT....good looking build. I felt your pain when I read "the masking tape incident"....who among us hasn't had that happen but you saved it well(thank God for brake fluid). Just as an aside, haven't modern Formula 1 cars gotten ugly!!!! I know that advancements in aerodynamics etc. have...
