Perhaps surgical tape? It has a subtle pattern and can be painted if needed.

I know it’s not F1, but I want to build the 1/20 scale MPC MCLaren M8D in the Led Zepplin livery. I have the 1/43 scale Thundersports kit so I have decals to scan. Could anyone out there print them for me? At what cost?

In the old AMT annuals, and others from the 60’s and 70’s, the tireswould ‘melt’ the plastic if in contact with it. Best to keep everything separated.

Thanks for the help, and kind comment on the build. I have been working on this off and on for 2 years. Need to finish and get it to him. He said when we get out there and have a day, he'll take me to the reserve unit and we can play in their simulator. Great fun.

It’s not an F-1, or even a car, but I need help with decals. I’m making the Academy CH-53E for my son in law that flies them. I have printed his markings on clear decal film, and want to know what you coat them with before soaking them to apply. I used a laser printer at work.
