+1 for the Mr. Line Chisel. The ability to change tip sizes is great. Plus, you can get this tip

which can be used to do circle engraving. Very sharp tip and a beefy body so there's no flex.

Re: Jim Clark's 1968 Lotus 49 South Africa configuration
Hey, From what I can gather from the Oliver "Lotus 49" book, This is Chassis Number R4, which only raced at south Africa in 1968. It was sold to Rob Walker, but destroyed by fire before it raced again. You'll need the long fairings (A13, A14), solid brakes, part A10 for the fuel filler/cow...

Got 20,000 -30,000 British pounds laying around?

They also got the Hesketh and BRM from the movie as well. I know they're not the "real thing", but they are far cheaper!

Re: Airbrush set
It is true that Iwata is the "gold standard" when it comes to airbrushes. However, some of the most important factors when airbrushing are: -using paint thinned to the proper consistency -using the correct pressure -using the appropriate nozzle diameter for what you're doing (i.e. don't tr...

Very nice! How did you keep the decals from cracking/disintegrating?

Re: Your 1/12 wishlist?
If MFH stated doing 1/12 full detail pre-70's cars, I'd be in trouble!
My top "3"
1: Pre-70's Lotus (25, 33, 49, 49B)
2: Pre-70's Brabhams (BT19, BT20, BT24)
3: BRM's (P261, P83, P115)

Re: PLASTIC Upcoming F1 Releases 2014
Yes ! Even though MFH's 88 is defenitly the standard setter, I am glad Ebbro released this! I just could not never find the money to buy the MFH version (other priorities always interfered with it) But I also agree, Ebbro need to release the two Tyrrell's and the two Lotus 49's first. I have nothin...

Re: WIP - 1/5 McLaren MP4/8 Scratchbuilt
This is so awesome! Very inspirational! Does that PVC foam that you used have a brand or trade name? It sounds like it would be nice to work with. Thanks for the WIP pics!!

Lovely work! I had the same idea except I was going to do the Jim Clark Tasman car instead of the Hill car.

A little off topic, but Michael, any thoughts on expanding your kit sales to Canada? I'd love to buy my kits, and the excellent decals you make for them, in one place
