Re: 1976 Tyrrell P34

If memory serves, Depailler's Japanese GP car did not have the modified rear wing and engine cover but did have the Tyrell marking in katakana. And the wet weather tyres from Icon are highly recommended. Wim/Bestbalsakit is a great source if you are in the EU. You can also order directly from Icon w...

Re: 1976 Tyrrell P34

Tamiya released a Japanese GP version of this kit a few years back. The rear wing for Schecter's car is photoetch as is the engine screen. Rain tyres too.

Try Hobby Search: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10563037

I am loyal to HLJ but since they redid their website, they do a terrible job promoting new racing car kits. They must be losing some sales, I know I have bought elsewhere when I could not find a new kit at HLJ in time to put in an order.

Re: Red Bull after modelers now?

The team (more likely Red Bull corporate) has indeed hired a provider of automated hunting software combing the net for pictures of Red Bull labeling and then sends automated take down notices to the platforms which tend to comply. I doubt a human being is involved sorting out whether the kit involv...

Re: Red Bull after modelers now?

A perfect example of lawyers running amok. Companies that are particularly dependent on their trademarks to distinguish their products from those of their competitors justify such actions as necessary to protect their intellectual property and become reflexive and unable to exercise any judgment no ...

Re: AMC LIFE L190 B.Giacomelli

One of my all time favorite lines in Autosport was a quip in a race report that a local dog ran farther and faster along pit road than Giacomelli and the Life when the car expired before getting on track.

Now that would make a great subject for a diorama!

Re: Best of 2019

Hehehe, no no I'm not a professional modeler, I'm a lawyer here in Brazil and my conection with Michel (MTR) is only as a costumer, I bought a lot of AMD-Ace-Checkered Flag kits but never saw him personally (the only kit he has from me is the Fittipaldi F9 I made a long time ago converting a F8D fr...
