Re: Tamiya Tyrrell P34 '76 Japanese GP

Were the slots where the seatbelts fit pre-cut in the seat, or did you cut them yourself..?? Not the builder fo this very nice build but I have the answer for you anyway. Just looked at the Hobby Search Model Car site, they show most building pages. And the answer is NO, one has to do it themselfs....

Re: Renault suspended for 2 years

Interesting twist to the Flavgate story; According to testimony hearings on Monday, Pat Symonds and Witness X stated that Nelsinho came up with the idea of the crash. Mmmmm, does this story get a different tail or is Pat bluffing? Or is that the reason why Flav will continue his legal actions. We pr...

Re: Renault suspended for 2 years

The thing is so pesky that I -and aparently not anyone else in a while- didn't even want to comment it when I saw it :x :? At least they should make'em pay a huge fine, or give Williams engines for free  I think it's the worst cheating opperation I've seen, and the punishment the slightest... ...

Re: Renault suspended for 2 years

Still feels weird if you compare the sentences; Nelsinho is a free man, Pat 5 years and Flavio sentenced for the rest of his life. I don't see the logic yet if you would compare this to a typical civil court case. Sounds like FIA continues having their own random laws.

Re: Briatore and Symonds Removed From Renault F1!

Seems like the story tends to take a direction and questions why people like Nelson Jr. should have received immunity. Reading next article gave a me a slightly different perspective on the case: http://www.formula1blog.com/2009/09/18/piquet-softens-alonso-allegations-the-art-of-victimology-f1-formu...

Re: book from 43rd mike

Hi Joe (and anyone else who is interested), Just got an update from Tameo on this project: "Concerning the building manual, I am waiting for translation and plane to publish both on our web site within February." This will be two chapters. The first is an introduction to 1/43 kits, tools,...

Re: More 1/20 F1 kit from Japan

I've noticed that some of the Modelers' supplies are going to be reissued later this year, so my guess (and hope) is a reissue of Modeler's F92AT by whoever acquired the tool. And depending on its sales, new kits might follow (or might already be in the designing stage). EDIT: Inter Allied picked u...

Re: More 1/20 F1 kit from Japan

Well Aoshima recently announced a Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG, so maybe they have a license agreement with Mercedes which would lead to one of the modern McLarens?? Hopefully not the F1 safety car then..... I hope it is a kit of a F1 savvy company with strong beliefs in a community with guys like us, a...

Re: Briatore and Symonds Removed From Renault F1!

It would be good for the sport if mature- and competitive teams like Renault will be part of the field next year especially. I am pretty surprised that the press is blowing up this event out of its proportions. In the old days mixing team orders, illegal blends of fuel, variable heights and weight a...

Re: TAMIYA 1/20 New Release! It's RED!

Fantastic news, definitely will buy the 1/12 Brabham and 1/20 F60. Whatever new F1 kit they would have made, I almost blindly would buy them. It sounds like Tamiya is switching tracks and is listening to its customers more in times of financial concerns. The 1/32 Spitfire aircraft is also a deviatio...
