Re: Thank you Kyoko!
I’ve had the same experience, too. I received the parts I needed to repair my Sharknose with a kind note, too. Yes, forgot to mention the kind note, and origami swan that was in the package. Kyoko is a life-saver! Very happy to support this cottage industry with the support from such a wonderful fa...

Thank you Kyoko!
Big shout out and thank you to Kyoko! We exchanged a couple of emails for "spare" parts, as I damaged a decal, and also a resin piece for the nose on my 1/12 Brabham BT46. I damaged the resin part beyond repair trying to strip some paint, so needed a new part - without it, this 4+ year bui...

Finally Finished!! Brabham BT46
Hi Folks: I haven't posted much here over the last couple of years, but have checked in periodically to see the great work being done here. Well, I finally finished a kit....first one in about 4 years. I normally completed 8-10 kits per year, but lately kids sports, 1:1 cars and just life have been ...

Re: Clear Over Decals
Hello Ivndeva & Mike: Thank you again for the feedback, and soy it took so long to reply. The Subaroo and Honda look amazing! Looks like all ideas point to multiple dust coats and later wet coast with some polishing in between. I think before I clear this kit (as the deals are "irreplaceabl...

Re: Clear Over Decals
Hi lvndeva: Thanks for all of your feedback! My main concern with doing dust coats is that they tend to leave a grainy finish (orange peel), which is difficult to correct with subsequent wet coats. I know that TS-13 flattens out very well, but as I have not used Mr. Hobby - Mr. Super Clear Gloss, I ...

Clear Over Decals
I remember seeing posts about this before, but cannot seem to find them using the search function. I am currently building a Minardi PS01 conversion using the Tamiya Williams FW24 kit, and Studio 27 decals. I have typically used a 2-part urethane, or Future floor wax as a clear coat over decals, but...

Re: Favorite Pin Vise and bits
I have had the cheap ones, but the two Tamiya pin vices are comfortable and easy to spin.
Like Paul says - spend the money on good drill bits.

Re: What is your latest model purchase
The only kit I purchased this year, was the new Tamiya 1/12 Porsche 934 Vaillant. Will eventually look great next to the 935 and Jaegermeister 934.
I think I sold off about 35-40 kits.
