wrong kind of rivet though...
pop rivets are usually flatter and have a small hole.
masterclub do a flatter version as well (and several types of nuts/bolts), that would be a better match for pop rivets.

never used zero paints, but did use etch primer over plastic for years, it seems to prevent what I call deep chipping ie paint breaking off down to the plastic (when dropped or some such)

cf decals with tinted clear would be my idea, maybe use underscale cf aswell, 1/25 or 1/43 even
