Actually he scored his only point with ATS at the British GP in 1981. The 1982 season with Tyrrell unfortunately ended after only three races because of sponsorship problems.

Re: Jean Piere jabouille. ..RIP

Sad news again. The heroes of my youth are becoming older as do we all. I started following F1 in 1980 and scolling through the drivers of this year 10 are not with us anymore. Vittorio Brambilla, Andrea de Cesaris, Patrick Depailler, Harald Ertl, Jean-Pierre Jabouille, Didier Pironi, Clay Regazzoni...

RIP Streiff...
I second that. The heroes of my youth are passing away in alarming rate.

James, my heartfelt condolences for the passing of your mother.
Things like this put modelling into perspective.

Not crooked but partially missing. At the 1965 British GP Jim Clark hat the upper part of the starting number missing on both sides. Probably a late change of the cowling.
BTW Clark won the race.
As it is an interesting little detail I did my Lotus 25 kit in this version.

Re: Rollover bar Copersucar FD04

Thank you all for your interesting suggestions. I might try to make it from plastic material using the description by Hacksaw. But it will probably take a while before I start it. My unsuccessful attempts somehow put me off so I might take a break from modeling during the summer. Maybe it's the age ...

Rollover bar Copersucar FD04

I'm stuck with my Copersucar/Fittipaldi project because I somehow can't scratchbuild the rollover bar for the Monaco version: rollhoop.jpg I've tried brass, copper and aluminium wire but to no avail. Does anyone know if there is such a rollover bar available, maybe 3D printed or as resine aftermarke...

Re: AUDI and Porsche to join F1

So VW the "greenest" German car company wants to join formula one? The same company who only want to build electric cars up from 2033? That makes no sense to me. Another major label who pull the trigger on the engagement as soon as the wind change. Today it's formula one. Tomorrow it's ri...
