Re: Primer/Paint on EBBRO Plastic

I always use body shop panel wipe before any painting and never had any issues with silicones/fish eyes. Have you also eliminated any contamination from your paints/spray equipment/paint mixing tools? I ask because I know people who use those plastic pipette to mix the paint and they can sometimes b...

Re: Guess the correct MP4 red color

I tested practically every fluorescent red I could find a few years back in a quest to find the best for application, colour shade and longevity. In my opinion the best all rounder was/is Mr Color #171 Fluorescent Red. It just had a wow factor about it like no other and was so easy to use..

Re: Primer Under Zero Paints?

I use Tamiya primer for everything, plastic, resin, white metal and photo-etch and never had any problems with using Zero paints over the top.

Re: MFH April 2020 1/12 news

Crikey, lots of nit picking and back biting about MFH kits? I've only ever bought two, both in 1/20, the Brabbam BT52B and the Toleman. Not got around to building either yet due to time restraints. I sold the Brabham and will get the Beemax version later, I made a very nice profit on it. 1/12 doesn'...

Re: Customs Charges!!!!

If I'm correct you should pay 2.5% import duty on the value of the goods and the postage and 20% vat on the goods and postage, and the £8 Royal Mail fee. Not sure how much you paid for postage? But if you paid £420 for the kits that would be £420 + 2.5% = £430.50 plus 20% vat = £516.16 + £8 fee = £5...

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it. I noticed that Zero paints do quite a few different Rothman's Blue paints. So that helps a lot..

Re: 1995 Rothmans Williams Renault FW17 (1:20 Studio 27).

Steve, be sure to post pics of the subaru as/when you build it. I'm seriously tempted to build that car. Sure will!! I've got three to do. 1993 Portugal in the all blue 555 livery, one in the Rothmans Rallying livery and the early one in the white, pink and green colours. I've done the Richard Burn...

Re: 1995 Rothmans Williams Renault FW17 (1:20 Studio 27).

That looks fantastic, absolutely beautiful work!! Which exact Zero Rothmans Blue did you use? I ask because I have a Subaru Legacy of Colin McRae to build in the Rothmans Rallying livery and the shade looks perfect for it...

Re: 1/24 Gold Firestone decals..

There were several options on the page, I think you went where I went first (70s Stones). For the 330, you will need the late '60s one. http://indycals.net/decals/tires/goldringtires.html http://indycals.net/images/decal_images/med/firestonegold.jpg Jordan Yes, thanks very much, that's a great help..
