Regarding the 'humps' on the side of the headrest, those were added this year at the 500, so based on what Greenlight has made for 1/18 Indycar diecasts, the cad model didn't incorporate the latest changes. That being said, ...

Re: #2 XJR-9 1988 LM Questions!

Based on photos from Getty Images (which offers much higher resolutions, the below image is resized for f1m), it appears that #2 would be tape with a yellow tint to the color:

Re: SpotModel -> Newsletters 2015

with no color limits hi there, will this include metallic (gold, silver, bronze, ...) & dayglo/fluo inks? Wim Reading the instruction PDF, colors do not include metallic or fluorescent colors. Regardless, I will be very interested in trying this for some applications that I have. I think Spotmo...

Re: WIP Yardley M23

Looks great Gary! Mind if I ask if you whether you assembled the top and bottom halves of the monocoque before or after painting? I have this kit in my collection and cannot find a way to glue it before painting/decalling without dealing with the internal tub assembly.

Solder vs. CA?

Hey guys, Got a scratch building project and need to mount a wing mainplane to a die-cast aluminum nose. Im trying to decide between making the mainplane from styrene and using CA to attach it, or use brass and soldering it to the nose. Any insights as to which would make a stronger bond and the pro...

RE: Re: Decals

Neil,

I dont think they do, as the Gold Leaf decals are hidden under the box due to tobacco regulations. The rest of the decals I believe are tampo printed as opposed to waterslide. (Dont quote me though!)

Oliver,

It mentions in the chapter transitioning from 67-68 that they swapped the ZF box for a Hewland FG400- "Consisted of the FT200 gearpack put onto a DG300 final drive section". Ill reread the section in case I missed anything when I get home tonight.

Neil,

If you dont already have this book on order, I highly recommend "Lotus 49: The Story of a Legend", I found it very useful in preparing for my Lotus 49 (1967) build, and notes the changes between the 49, 49B and 49C not only in text but in photos also.
