Re: Toyota TF102 Revell 1/24

Hi Franck, congratulations on an amazing job and result! I always feel tempted to have (another) go at Revell kits when I see what you manage to get out of it, but this time I already went through the same experience with cracking (literally, not metaphorically) decals and unmatching paint colours. ...

Re: THE CHESSINGTON POST (memories of a Brabham builder)

Hi James, so glad to see this post re-appearing and love your work the 54s - the touch of red in the striping and the limited clean logos are really cool. And then to consider the best is yet to come - when will you tackle the 56s?

Re: Hey I entered something at a contest!!

Thanks for the great contest report and congrats on the well deserved medal! Really enjoy your lineup of “less usual” cars, in a modelling world where you can buy an MP4/4 in every thinkable scale the ATS’s and of course the Minardi are a welcome change. Btw can’t believe btw you are still not sold ...

Re: 1/20 Stewart Ford SF3 1999

Hi DeDe, Thanks for posting and many congratulations on an amazing conversion! Really nice to see the end result but also the steps you took to get there, it also brings back good memories as I went through the process a couple of years ago. However, I did not try the diagonal sidepod entries of the...

Re: Ford Cosworth DFR 3.5 l 1988 1989 1990 pictures and drawing

Hi Franck, all, I checked a couple of technical books covering the era, but no luck on the engine dimensions yet. The (great!) book by Sal Incandela covers a chapter on the DFZ and DFR with pictures and description, although it seems you have plenty of those already. Joe Honda does not have engine d...

Re: Hachette F1 1/24th scale Championship models

I was in Italy a few weeks ago (for the GP that never was :? ) and noted that some newsstands had earlier issues available, but very randomly. So if you look for a particular model it may be good to try one of the options to order as mentioned above, otherwise you could check in with a couple of the...

Re: Heller, Jaguar XJR-9 & Peugeot 905, 1/43

Hi Marco, thanks for posting and great job on both kits. I am a great fan of these Heller kits because of their simplicity and the freedom they offer to add your own details (and yes, decals :-)). Aside from the 1:43 kits I even enjoyed the 1:18 Renault R24, believe it or not. I recently purchased t...

1/24 Modeler’s Tyrrell 019

It’s been over a year, maybe two, since I last finished a model - not much time left for the hobby as a father of three :-) Therefore, I am very happy completing this 1990 Tyrrell by Modeler’s, which I bought from a fellow member some time ago. It is in the unpopular 1/24 scale - which actually buil...

Re: Amazing documentary on the Prost/Senna Mclaren MP4/4 car

I have started watching the video. It's a fascinating subject that is near to me. I had the pleasure of seeing Senna win in Canada and Detroit in subsequent weekends. Back then it was pretty inexpensive to travel to Montreal from Detroit. There has been great cars and drivers since 1988. However, i...
