Re: BAR Honda 006 (Tamiya FW24 conversion)
Final step (for now) was to create the engine cover fin, again out of plastic card. The main challenge with these 2004-aero parts is that they are quite interconnected, so I immediately had to cater for the wing at the end of the cover, just above the gearbox. Just a flat "dummy" wing for ...

Re: BAR Honda 006 (Tamiya FW24 conversion)
Onto the nose... which is quite different between the two cars, the FW24 being high and quite sharply narrowing at the tip, the BAR being much more curved downward and wide. If I would have had an F2001 nose cone that would have been a better start! To get the right shape, first I cut the nose in ha...

BAR Honda 006 (Tamiya FW24 conversion)
Hi all, At the end of the year it's time for a new conversion project that I have been eyeing for some time: I have some space left in my cabinet for an early 2000s car (I learned this is a pragmatic way to decide what to build  ) and figured that tamiya conversions always give great fun. So......

Re: Question on BBR 1995 Kits
Many thanks Mike,
Not the answer I hoped for but on the positive side, I can spend the next 20 years looking for other things...
Indeed the Tameo line up covers most of the other '95 teams (apart from Forti and Pacific!), I will probably look at the Simtek at some point.
Thanks again!

Question on BBR 1995 Kits
Hi all, It may be a long shot but this forum typically does not disappoint, so here goes: I am a great fan of the 1/43 F1 kits by BBR and collected a fair number of their 1995 cars (with the build count now at 3). The cool thing is that they effectively covered the whole grid, including the back mar...

Re: F1 Pits Images 1980's, 1990's (and a few either side).
Wow, a collection to be proud of! The Sauber C12 picture is my favourite, both the composition and the subject!

Re: Modeler's Lola T89 Formula 3000
Very good looking :) . Here in F-land a Local hobby Store has this Item for sale, unbuilt that is  . Oh! If you do not want it, then I would like to buy it :) Do they have a website? EDIT: sorry, the one I was looking for is the T87 (which is 1/20, not the T89, d'oh!) What is the price? I ...

Re: Modeler's Lola T89 Formula 3000
Wow, this looks so good! The colours really pop and I like the details that you added. I am wondering how close the Lola T89/50 is to the Lola LC88 that competed in the '88 and '89 F1 seasons, does anybody know the cars are related (other than they were made by Lola)? I have been contemplating a con...

Re: What is your latest model purchase
A lack of reference material was certainly not my reason for selling you this kit...
I would take a look at the motorsport images site, also have a few photo books that feature the M193 if you are really short. Do look forward to see it being built (no pressure...)!

Thanks for the comments! The next project is in preparation, but it is not another Jordan... anybody taking a guess?
