Nice work James! Did you take the Red5 or S27 decals as a basis? I didn't know you could "construct" your own decals and print them out... in any scale you like! What type of printer would you need for that?

Anyway, looking forward to the end results!

Thanks for your help Roland! I'm only after the 1/24th scale in this case, and I wouldn't know how to convert them but perhaps some of the experienced and well-equipped modelers do???

Hi Roly, those decals look great! But... are they also available in 1/24??? And where did you get them? I think it would be nice to convert the Revell MP4/12 kit: easy and cheap to get and better than the 2000-2001 era kits they made (Jordan EJ10, FW23, F1-2000).

Thanks in advance!

Martin

Yes, they will test this car as of today! Now that we're talking about conversion decals for orange McLarens: I'm very interested in a 1/24 set for the MP4/20 but I was wondering whether a set of decals for the 1/24th-scale McLaren MP4-12 from 1997 does exist? I know S27 has developed some for the M...

In fact, why can't they keep racing with this orange livery throughout the 2006 season? There's no deal with West anymore so who's wishes should they stick to this year? The only sponsor I could think of is Mercedes, so a completely silver-painted car is another option... BTW Nice drawings and expla...

This looks pretty cool and cries out for a set of conversion decals. That shouldn't be too difficult right? In fact, most of the decals of the Revell 1/24 kit are already in black. I was already feeling sorry I'd finished my version of the revell kit, but now there's a good reason to buy another one!

Yes I agree, they changed the painting scheme of the car back and forth. In fact, they switched to the black chimneys and silver front wing somewhere halfway, and the car that I've built is supposed to represent the Hungarian GP's car that was used during the race (on Friday and during qualifiying t...

Thanks for the nice comments! It seems I uploaded the same picture twice, sorry for that. Williams, here's a picture taken from the top view, I hope this helps. I am very curious about the F2005 as well, I had to make a choice between the MP4-20 and the F2005 and opted for the first one, but I'm sur...

Completed: Revell McLaren MP4-20

Hi there, as my first message posted at this marvellous website I would like to show you some pictures of the 1/24th scale McLaren MP4-20 by Revell. It's been fun building this one, although I had some problems with the decals. The nose and sidepod decals were quite big, such that in the end I had t...
