Just ordered mine for 114,95€ including shipping.
They also got the Tyrell 6 wheeler, Tyrell 003 and the Lotus 78 for less than 100€.
Bargain saleThat's the shop I was looking at. However, I have not yet ordered. Besides, not all of the kits are super cheap, the Abarth for instance is above average. So don't go bagging things left, right and center without a quick price check elsewhere. Oh and the 78 is out of stock at the mo.
But the 003 and the MP4/2 are still on, plus they got loads of other stuff. Never heard of that shop before so... let me know when you get your things.
Might do the Bugatti and the 4/2

My company is sending me back overseas, Australia this time. Everything will be gong back into storage for the next 5-8 years. I'd rather see a fellow forum member have an opportunity to build these. Rather than just sitting in a storage facility.

For Sale • A Few More 1:20 Tamiya Ferrari Kits with lots of Extras

Mon, 05/15/2023 - 18:58
I will ship anywhere. The buyer is responsible for shipping and fees as well as any import duties/VAT/other taxes (if applicable).

All payments via Paypal or Venmo. Prices are in US Dollars.

All kits are in excellent condition. The sprues are all in their original bags. Decals are in new condition. Most of the kits include detail sets and/or the missing tobacco decals. Many of the detail sets are long out of production and not available. The sets will only be included with the kit. I will not sell them separately.

On fleabay (.de) it can be had from 135€ (incl. shipping) via google's shopping listing it can be found for 115€ (again incl. shipping) which I think is pretty solid.

Tha aside - have any of you checked the exchange rates of the yen vs euro (potentially the same for yen vs. pound or dollar) recently? the yen dropped significantly. It was around 125-130ish for the longest time the last year or so. Now it's at 147 (was 150 recently). The highest rate I've ever seen happened to be when I was globetrotting in '08 - it was at 168 back then. So I wonder how that would translate to reduced kit prices "over here", but haven't seen any changes yet.

Just asking

Just in case this is useful, Hiroboy in the UK have now got the MP4/2 on their website at £120 and Spotmodel has it at €134.

Both great prices! I think I paid nearly £300 for the Protar kit many years ago - and proceeded to do a pretty poor job with it!!

Cheers

OK, so I have the 126CK kit as discussed via messages the tub is slightly different than what you have pictured.
Some dimensions cannot be measured without full assembly of some parts which I won't do at this time.
Anyhow here are the dims that I was able to measure.

All Dims are in inches

A = 6.600
B = 2.078
C = ?
D = ?
E = 2.772
F = .710
G = 1.004
H = 1.920
I = Missing from your drawing.
J = 1.325
K = 1.920
L = 1.094
M = 1.490
N = .775
O = .572
P = 1.148
Q = .856
R = ?

I hope that help with your project JB. Good Luck!!!

This is an eight year old thread!!! No wonder the link doesn't work. James I think your question would have been better asked in a PM rather than dredge up and eight year old thread!!

Completed Projects • Re: McLaren MP4/13 (Tamiya) & MP4/12 (Revell)

Sun, 05/14/2023 - 14:38
Thank you for all the comments!
I should probably add that this is the first Revell kit I ever finished. My previous two attempts ended in a disaster.
Call me crazy but I actually prefer the look of the '98 narrow track cars to the wide track cars of '97.In general I prefer the look of the 1997 cars, but I completly agree with you here, which might have to do with Adrian Newey who joined McLaren in 1997 and was responsible for the MP4/13.

Well, better than my mp4/13, had a huge Air bubble on top of the Monocoque at the mentioned white area .I had it too on both cars. So I ended up covering both chassis with paper templates and put a few dusty coats of white on top until the central area had a solid white. By using a template made of paper that didn't sticked on the chassis I prevented a visible edge, as parts of the dust went under the template.

And the Revell, well it's nice to see what a careful and inspired build can obtain form these unfairly usually treated kits Thank you, James!
To be honest, I bought the 1997 Revell F1 kits back when they were released, as I feared I would soon run out of modellkits. ebay didn't existed, and I didn't knew about multimedia kits back then.
