Flying elephants

Have you ever seen an elephant flying? Even more, have you even heard it doing so closely? Those of us who have had the opportunity to see elephants fly and listen to them up close can confirm that they are truly brutal machines.

Do the math: a Kamaz 43509 weighs just under 10 tons, each of its wheels is around 150 kilograms, they generate more than 1,000hp, they measure almost 7 meters long and more than 3 meters high... and in order to prevent them to fly to the moon and beyond they are limited to a maximum speed of 130 km/h. Even so, when one of them passes by just a few meters away, flying over the dunes, your breath just stops... trust the word of this geek!

The prestigious scale model kits brand Zvezda has taken an elephant, shrunk it to 1/35 scale, and turned it into an awesome scale model that also takes your breath away: pieces with outstanding details, including a meticulous parts listing and the whole cockpit and engine accurately reproduced. We can affirm that it's the best thing we have seen for months, and we are not the only ones who think so: the first units that arrived at SpotModel have already walked out the door without even stepping on the shelves... these elephants DO fly indeed! :-O

But don't panic, there are already a few more elephants flying towards SpotModel

Yes, and IPMS sometimes are associated with Tamiya as sponsors.
I’d say that any local club from Spain would be a Yes to Eric’s question¡Encantado JamesB! Soy nuevo en el foro y en hobby.

Thanks Stu! always there
I finally found a solution with Macrium. So Veeam Free will be next time
Macrium did work really well and it seems to have several interesting tools. I seriously recommend it.
Now I´ll have to remove the other three softwares I downloaded.
Ah... about the old office version, I´ll try tomorrow, thanks. I think it was 2010 (if that makes any sense at all) but now I am overjoyed and overproud with my achievement after all day!
BTW yes the PC feels faster with the SSD. I´ll fiddle a bit tomorrow to see if I can assign some SSD space to make some kinf of virtual memoryy supplementing RAM... or kinda.
Ah! I did not have an old disc to keep since it was a brand new PC with just Win on it...

You'll need to revert back to the old hard drive, but I've used Veeam Free for this. Boot up to the old hard drive, take a backup using Veeam onto an external hard drive, make a recovery image, then shut down the PC, connect up the SSD, boot off of the recovery image and you can copy it to the SSD. Its free for this.

For Office, if it was downlaoded from the MS site, you should still be able to access it. Which version was it?

Thanks Stu.But somehow every software I try has one shortcoming or another. So nothing till now, either Aomei, clonezilla or Acronis. So if someone is in "been there, done that" mode recently, please guys tell me. I spent too many hours to no avail.
About Office I do have a freeware version, but wouldlike to have again the original. And no I don´t have it as it was downloaded from MS site THx!

Hello everyone
I'm just about to start my next build and I couldn't find any good detailed pics of the Williams FW24 through my normal sources. Anyone have any they wouldn't mind sharing with me or point me in the right direction?
Thanks,

Acronis should work if you only need it for a month, you won't need to be doing this again in the near future right? Depending on what you are trying to bring over though, it may just be easier to reinstall the software and manually copy your files over.

Regarding Office, you'll need to find your old version and install that. Saying that, the free online versions of them (or other versions from Google) work for most people if you aren't looking to pay for it. If you have a Hotmail/Outlook account or a Gmail one, you can upload files to their online area and access them online that way.

It's an excellent build, and a great suspension solution, that made me remember something that I should have talked about in this forum a long time ago: I have designed a simple tool to connect the FW11 front suspension arms, based on a 3D scan of the model. I have uploaded it to my Shapeways shop if someone is still interested in it. I'm sorry, I had so much to do lately that I forgot that I made this... and also a similar solution for the B188. I could have spared a lot of work for you guys...

https://www.shapeways.com/product/UHZXZ ... 0&li=shopsVery cool that you have this available. Wish I had known
