Hi! A few days ago I saw a video on Youtube of unpoxing of the Beemax lotus 99t. The parts look rough, similar to the Protar 1:12 models. Would have thought of nicer details with today's technology. I was disappointed. However, I cannot say anything about the parts of the 4/4. Maybe they improved the details.

Does anyone have insight into what is motivating Nunu to manufacture 1/12th GP cars?

Are the designers previously from Tamiya? What is the production run going to be like?

I welcome the kits. But just curious about the projects and how long can we see this go for?

Aside from the front suspension mounts, the 4/4 looks solid.
Surprised they opted for the early season design.

Little update on the Zakspeed. having had it halted because of some small 'issues' with the kit. The PE parts didn't fit the Radiators in the box, for the larger ones i found a simple solution by just filling the hole with plastic card as they aren't that visible.309551040_818553969159765_4667382990936917598_n.jpg309722938_1702239186828605_252526618275251135_n.jpgThe smaller ones had the same problem but as they are more visible i decided to scratchbuild them. I just glued the PE parts to a square plastic rod and added a added a trim around it. The piece was finished of with a fitting from Top Studio and a thermal sticker i had left from another kit. 307026175_650846332923650_6187975865068862465_n.jpg307723721_1112966479326290_5629595714755094372_n.jpg308288654_1574092809673356_6091792649405789910_n.jpg309545768_431010679100448_8265426946920709046_n.jpgi also added a support rod in the sidepods as they where present on the real thing. 309749582_490884866229625_3564576923029541886_n.jpg

Super work Pascal!
Which Alclad color did you used for the wheels?
Im not sure wherever it was the ‘59 or this 1960 car but one of the two had e blue seat, I guess you did your research and know it’s the right color
Keep the good work coming!

Edit, this must be the ‘59 246F1

Front wing's central part is decaled.SSC_0006.JPGNext step is the rear wing. Lower plane is O.K., but upper two elements are not to be used.SSC_0053.JPGSSC_0051.JPGSSC_0052.JPGPhotos show the upper plates in the kit. There is no wing profile, looks like bares with rounded edges. The upper plane is too short, and the angle is flat, nearly horizontal, as it was used in high speed circuits like Monza. New more realistic planes are scratchbuild.SSC_0054.JPGSSC_0055.JPGSSC_0056.JPGSSC_0005.JPGSSC_0004.JPG

I think this picture also shows the reason for the delay in the 99T... It looks like a completely new tool was built again.

Fd3ySqAVUAEK6Zx.jpgNew tool does not mean, that the tools is reworked. New tool means, this kit is new and not a rerelease of a existing kit.
The reason for the delay are corona related according to the email answer from the manufacturer.

Inside airdam of the 333?
_____P008Web-74.jpgThe part left and right of the two radiators. In the MFH picture, the right part is upside down. It needs to be rotated 180° so the pins are facing downward and that little edge is facing foward. I'd say that's a 100% match. Parts shown in MFH pic are left and right only shown upside down to throw us off . Not this time, hiro san, not this time

Like an actual 917

We love cars and that is why we build scale models, just as we love details, and that is why we want our builds to have as much detail as possible, to be as faithful as possible to reality. In plastic injection kits this is a problem due to the technological limitations that greatly condition the manufacture of the parts.

That's why we are very, very happy when improvements like the one presented by DAB Models this week fall into our hands, nothing less than a set of parts to update the brakes and rims of the Porsche 917 by Fujimi. It is certainly something that all of us who love the 917 want for our models. Finally!!! Detail, realism, accuracy... that's wonderful!

We want more, many more little things like these on our SpotModel shelves and on our assembly tables. Of course we do!!

The rerelease of the old 1/20 Hiro kits i'ts a big opportunity for the fans of the 70's F1.There was a rumour of Ebbro planning to release Lotus 77 in plastic. I'm still holding a hope for it, even
though with current Ebbro release speed, that might not happen in my life time.Superb news.
