RC Driver Online has dived into the Hop-Up Option world with their latest build of the Ford Bronco CC-02 kit. In June of 2022, RC Driver put out a review of our newly released Ford Bronco on the CC-02 chassis. This time, they take our limited-edition Ford Bronco with a pre-painted body while also installing many of the option parts available for the kit. The annual Nuremburg Toy Fair will be taking place February 1-5. After a three-year hiatus due to the planet dealing with the world-wide pandemic, Tamiya will once again be present at the show to unveil NEW and re-release items to the attendees!

Our All-New Lockheed F-35 A Lightning II model kit in 1/48 scale was released just a short time ago. We are sure some of you may have been working on your kit during the holiday season. As chance would have it, former Tamiya Con winner, Jim Wechsler surprised the Tamiya America office with his recent build of this amazing kit over the holiday season! We took some detailed photos of his build and we’re sharing them with our modeling customers. Enjoy!

Build Fun Facts:

• Out of the box build. • Tamiya Extra Thin Cement used to glue the kit together. • The overall color is Tamiya Neutral Gray darkened with black then panel faded with neutral gray. • Kit decals used. • Acrylic rod used to display the model in flight with its bomb bay doors opened.

Exciting news Tamiya R/C fans! Today, we drop news of our second Block Head Motors collaboration in the form of the Hotshot II making its way back to fans of off-road 4WD radio control buggies!

Key NEW features:

• Polycarbonate body (0.7mm thickness) of the Hotshot II is pre-cut and pre-painted in brilliant blue. (Cutlines and marks to make holes added from the original Hotshot II (Item 58062) body.) • New roll cage positioned higher to ensure raised driver position for more realism. Following this matter, upper frame is also updated. • Uprights and wheels are matte-finish metal-plated. Includes new stickers designed by Jun Watanabe’s brand "BLOCKHEAD MOTORS.” • Number plates, light pods, side plates, window nets and dummy antenna included.

These images show the model assembled but unpainted. Instead, we’ve used our Black Panel Line Accent Color on the assembled model to show you the fine intricacies and high-level detail you can expect from the kit!

A Singular Concept!

The most technologically advanced modern fighter on the planet is finally available in our legendary 1/48 Aircraft Series. Thanks to extensive research, the A variant of the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II comes to modelers workbenches. The F-35 - variant A for the Air Force, B for the Marines and C for the Navy –developed under the Joint Strike Fighter Program (JSF) and is-seen as one of the fifth-generation fighters. These aircraft possess highly advanced stealth characteristics and network connectivity, plus superior situational awareness provided by numerous integrated sensors. The F-35 Lightning II was-first-delivered in 2015, and deployment of over 3,000 F-35s is-planned around the world. Inheriting the Lightning appellation from the famed P-38, the F-35 will lead worldwide air arms for years to come.

The 60th All Japan Model Show, after a two-year hiatus, is coming back!

From September 30-October 2, the event will be taking place at Tokyo Big Sight South Exhibition Halls 1 and 2.

So, what All-New items will TAMIYA announce? We cannot tell you quite yet! However, we can say two of the subjects are completely new with brand new tooling!

Furthermore, one of the announced items will be on display at the upcoming Orange County IPMS Orange Con model contest in Southern, California, taking place on October 2, which Tamiya America will be a part of. We will have this exciting new product on display for all local attendees to peek at.

Today we have an ALL-NEW 1/24 scale plastic model car kit announcement! Say hello to the all-new Nissan Z! This is Nissan’s 7th generation model, and Nissan, which was announced in New York in August 2021 and its Japanese version in Tokyo in January 2022. Headlights and taillights are designed inheriting the first S30 model and the fourth generation Z32 model designs respectively – the Z features a car design theme which is a combination of tradition and cutting-edge technology – the silver color side roof frames from A pillars to C pillars are inspired by Japanese swords. Also, this car employs a 3-liter V6 twin turbo engine capable of 405hp inside of the S30 model-inspired hood, and has a choice of six-speed MT or nine-speed AT transmissions. The Tamiya model kit is expected to be available world-wide on November 20th!!
