Though I do not build in 1/12 myself, I think that what you are doing is great!
It is a shame that shapeways does not have a competition, as their prices are really high.
There is a competitor at which you can load models, and then have them printed, but from what I can see, there is no way that you can load your models onto the site for others to request print jobs from...

You did an excellent work, it’s very cool that to see this Surtees with Carlos Pace at the wheel to the 20th built.
I built the 32 scale from Matchbox when I was a child but it was far away of your result.

I did this as as a remembrance to my younger days. I was 13 years old in 1965 and loved the looks of "Dyno" Don Nicholson Cyclones. In our neighborhood, we all had nicknames. "Jungle Jim" was my name. "Crouch's" Pharmacy was where we went to buy our comic books. They also had a lunch counter and served chili dogs, Cherry Cokes and Cherry Smashes.
Modifications that I made to the kit were to swap out the 427 SOHC engine that came with the kit for a 427 FE side oiler engine. Lower the sky-high front end so it had a better looking stance. Swap out the Crager mag wheels for some gorgeous chrome reverse wheels with white lettered tires and make the duct work that fits on the underside of the hood to complete the hood scoops.

Questions • Re: At which races did the P34 have a holy seat? ..well a seat with holes anyway
At Argentine, Brazil, US west, and Britain Ronnie had a solid seat.
At Spain and Monaco Patrick had a perforated seat. Probably in the pic from Brazil as well as there are light shining through the seat.
Later in the season the seat changed and are solid on the pictures I've seen both for Ronnie and Patrick. I've seen pictures of Ronnie's car in Austria and Canada and of Patrick's car in Germany, Holland, Canada and Japan.
But I noticed one thing when looking at pictures from Canada where I could compare both cars.
The back rest differs for the drivers. It looks like Ronnie's back rest are higher bringing the top more vertical than Patrick's that are more slanted. Now I need to reshape the fujimi seat for my Ronnie car.

congratulations for your products that I have always appreciated and even purchased.
I would like to ask you about the Tamiya 1/12 scale Ferrari 312 T kit.
Tamiya has completely omitted the fiberglass tanks which are located under the engine velocity stacks.
In my opinion, it could be a nice accessory to produce to complete the fabulous kit of the Japanese house.
I am attaching a photograph to see exactly which part of the engine I am referring to.

Giovanni La Rosa
giovanni@fratelli-larosa.comThanks, Giovanni, and also thanks for the idea. I have a Tamiya 312T, so it is a doable project.Hi Smirkoff,
I also wanted to point out to you, for the 1/12 Tamiya Ferrari 312 T, the brake fluid reservoirs located in the front of the car.
In reality, they are made of semi-transparent white plastic while, Tamiya, reproduces them in solid gray plastic.

Giovanni La Rosa

But what is this?
When i added all the parts from shapeways i had to pay more than 400€ for it.
Thats a lot of money.
Time to think about a own 3d printer?Well, I have two printers... one small DLP resin and one medium sized FDM, and I use both to test the parts. The problem is that big parts like a 1/12 cowling need big SLA or MJF printers to get a fast and good result to sell them for modeling purposes. Those big machines are way beyond my budget, specially because I do this as part of the hobby. Other factor is that I'm in Brazil, and having this done to distribute all over the world would need a structure that I am not able to assemble at the moment. Shapeways, for now, is an expensive option, but I'll keep looking for opportunities to do it cheaper in the future.
