MP 4/4 is finished
I'm up to 1988 now for my 1/20 F1 timeline. Pretty much a straight forward kit except that the front of the body won't sit flat resulting in one front wing tip sitting slightly higher than the other. For now i've lightly tacked it down with CA glue. I never display with the body off anyway- F1 cars just don't look right with their bodies off to me.
The white is TS26 from the can. The red is TS 36 airbrushed. The kit decals were perfect, but no Marlboros in this case. I'm not sure what brand the aftermarket tabacco decals are...i found them in a local hobby shop without any brand name on them! Anyway they were perfect, and only cost A$6 too.
A Benetton next i think.

JamesB, i didn't fill the join lines for the removable sidepod panels you mention. They are visable, but not in the photos. From photos of the real thing it's almost impossible to actually see the join lines as they fit so perfectly. Therefore i decided not to highlight the joins on the model- i didn't want that panel line standing out. I did lighlty highlight the join between the two upper body panels, in front of the cockpit as that is easily visable on all photos of the real cars.
Daniel, this is another model i decided not to clearcoat, as the decals were so thin and once they were on you can't see the film. I waxed them only to give them a better shine.
And thanks for the comments.
