Tamiya MAZDA 787B completed.

Post by regga »

Hello, everyone!

It is Mazda 787B start!
DSCN1258.JPG
I begin to make it from an engine.
I remade a servomotor of the variable intake.

It is early and wants to paint the body.
Because I make an engine this time, it will become after it. :(

A continuation is later again.
Thank you.

Hi Regga

I look forward to your build of this lovely model. If you need references I have tons of pics from Goodwood Festival of Speed of the car that is unrestored since its victory at Le Mans in 1991.

I've got the new release of this on order and also the S27 decals to make the Renown version. Look forward to following your progress, it's a really great livery and one that will look very attractive once finished. Which orange and green paints will you be using for the main colours..?

Hi Regga,

I have the original version put away for when I feel brave enough to tackle that livery. It looks very busy but equally a very good looking car.

I'm looking forward to seeing your WIP and am very interested to learn your techniques of how you will approach painting the bodywork.

Cheers, Paul

The orange colour is fluorescent orange. Don't be fooled by the Tamiya suggestion which is a normal orange in their range. It is not - repeat not McLaren Rocket red, but simply orange fluo. Zero has it and Tamiya MS-9 should do it. Green matches park green TS-35 fine.

If your last builds are anything to go by this will be another stunner. What a livery you have chosen, looking forward to seeing you tackle this one. Good luck.

Judging from previous builds, Rega is definitely the man to tackle this imposing paint job! Watching with great interest. Very interesting info RE: orange colour is fluo.
