Re: PLASTIC Upcoming Releases 2012
I just got my Fujimi P34. Looks really nice. Although I can't stand the 1977 bodywork of the P34 I'm eager to build this and I think it will be spectacular for display without bodywork due to the detailed chassis that's not a part of Tamiya's version. I'm sure some enterprising builders could have a field day combining the two kits.

I'm still waiting for mine from HLJ. It certainly LOOKED like it could be an awesome detailed build from the pics on Hobby Search. We shall see...

Re: PLASTIC Upcoming Releases 2012
This isn't exactly 2012 releases, but I'm relaying a post made by romu-romu about Ebbro's future plans.
http://www.romu-romu.com/site/report/2012nur/P10.html
At the Nürnberg Toy Fair, they've learned that Ebbro is planning to release the Lotus 49. The company is also interested in Tyrrell 001-006, as well as the BT45, if they can source BT46 engine/gearbox from Tamiya.
This year's Shizuoka hobby show will be held on May 17-20, and new kit announcements begin a month before the show.

Re: PLASTIC Upcoming Releases 2012
Woohoo about the BT45! I hope it's the high side induction version. Now THAT would be a MUST BUY for me!
Awesome about the Tyrrells, too. I'm really starting to like Ebbro!

Re: PLASTIC Upcoming Releases 2012
Great news Hiro. I knew you'd provide great ones, when I saw you've posted on this thread.
I like Ebbro's plans a lot too. I want full BT45 series in plastic. Will buy them all. Lotus 49 will be next on my
list and I will buy Tyrrells as well. I fully support direction they are following. BT46 series would be nice as well.
Now if only we could make Tamiya to cover mid 80s and start making McLaren cars. That would provide very
wide coverage in plastic in 1/20 without much overlapping.

Re: PLASTIC Upcoming Releases 2012
I'd second a WHOLE bunch of '83-'85 cars. Those were the "power" days of F1 (well, '86, too) and those cars are must-haves. I hope someone is listening...

Re: PLASTIC Upcoming Releases 2012
This is why I didn't to comment to a Lotus 72 kit. In hopes that Ebbro would continue and release a Lotus 49. But, please please start at the beginning in 1967! I want a green and yellow one.
My two cents,
Paul Erlendson

Re: PLASTIC Upcoming Releases 2012
Good news about Ebbro doing the Lotus 49. It must surely rank as the most obvious car to do in 1/20 plastic, and yet look how long we've had to wait to see one... Tamiya started it's 1/20 series way back in the late seventies, so 35 odd years and counting... Looking at all the different variants of the 49 there'll likely be a transkit avalanche! I've got my Jimmy Clark Tasman series 49 decals ready to go!
