1/20 Lotus 72C model kit from Ebbro
I went to Tamiya fair in this weekend, and i saw Ebbro announced 1/20 Lotus 72C model kit. This is first model kit for them. Price will be 5800 Yen, and it will release in March.

I was surprised when I see it!! Ebbro's president uesd to work Tamiya, and he was joining to develop some Fromula 1 model kits.

I talked with Parson who is working in Tamiya, and he said Tamiya concentrated to develop new 1/350 Japanese battle ship, Yamato in this year. They will start to develop some car model kits in next year...... I don't know Formula 1 kit will be in one of them or not!!

It looks stunning.
Lets hope it will be a success and that we will see more kits. What about the 1971 Emmo/Wisell car.

Re: 1/20 Lotus 72C model kit from Ebbro
This kit looks very promising. I am definatly looking forward to it.
Just a little observation of the sprues:
There are two parts that look to me very much like the airbox of the 1971 version. If they are not, what else could they be for?
Also Ebbro seems to go the right way to do the cockpit surrounding with just a single clear part as it was also on the Lotus 72 IIRC. It might be difficult to be painted though. I just wonder why there are two surroundings? Are they going to give us spare or did they use different versions on the real car?

Hawkeye, Steffen!
You're probably right, and maybe the double windscreen might have similar reason, right?
