Ebbro 88 Done! Double the Chassis, Double the fun!
So the long awaited conclusion the the 88 saga is here. The kit is done and I am sad This was without a doubt the best kit I have ever built. If you haven't seen the WIP, here is the link (but c'mon, where ya been???) http://www.f1m.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=26812 Now mind you, everything you see on the car except the CF decals, seat belts, a few wires, and the air funnel mesh (MFH, a must for this build, the clear plastic "mesh" they give you looks just childish) it is all box stock. This kit is worth the $80 i'm seeing it going for and more, purely because of the fit and finish you can get without buying the MFH kit. You've all seen and followed along, so I wont drag on, but I will give some pros and cons.
Pros: Fit and finish for the most part, well detailed for a plastic kit, the chrome decals are actually a joy to put on with a little patience, the cartograf decals, the wonderful DFV
Cons: The fit of the top cover is a bit off when everything is buttoned up as you can see. Not sure what to do to fix that, but i'm displaying this one with it off for obvious reasons; the instructions are sometimes vague and you can find a much easier way to do things, especially with the rear suspension the I mentioned in the WIP
But yea, thats my thoughts. I really really hope you all enjoyed following along. I know many of you have this kit, so go on, get going I want to see some more And if you don't, well its high time to pick this or its brother the 88B up really soon. This is by far the most detailed i've ever made a kit. A few things still went wrong, and some areas like the body could use more work for sure. But i'm proud of what i've done for the most part.

And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high.

Well Done, Mobi! (applause, applause) She's sharp. Poetry in motion -- even when standing still. And I love the added detail, like the MFH meshes.
Great work!
Cheers, Chris

Looks fantastic and enjoyed the WIP....I am at a show this weekend and have seen a retailer has this and both McLarens, I have to say I am torn on what to buy.

Lovely build and fun to follow the WIP. The finished model looks better "in scale" than my S27 version.
