Simil R GT1 Ford GT

Post by R.Wells »

It has been a few months since I posted a WIP. So here goes:

Nothing fancy yet, but I did manage to cut the body parts off of the trees, sand them, and assemble the exhaust headers. I find it hard to believe that the engine block and heads are shown to be green and yellow, I would have to see a picture of that to believe it.

It looked from Eric Cole's build that it might be some sort of heat-shielding foil? Check out Eric's build on AF. Here's the link:

Hope it helps.

Eric and I have had a few lengthy conversations about his build. He has given me some "Heads-Up" about several areas. :D

I've heard. I'm not too concerned about fitment, as mine will be all opened up. Helps when things don't fit quite right! ;)

Hi Russell, Good to see a build from you, I think some of the engine colours are a reproduction of the computer drawings, not the actual colours so to speak.

I certainly couldn't find any pictures of the car with a green engine block and yellow head covers.

Hey eric--

Do you mind forwarding any ref pics you have for that car my way? I'd really appreciate it!

Are you doing any special projects for Atlanta this year? Just curious...
